A Modern Planning Tool for a Critical Workforce Route
Greater Mercer Transportation Management Association (GMTMA), in partnership with Mercer County, continues to advance efforts to improve awareness, access, and the overall rider experience on Mercer County’s JARC (Job Access and Reverse Commute) bus routes. A major step forward in this work is the recent launch of TripShot for the Route 130 Connection bus service.
The TripShot launch represents more than a new app — it reflects a broader commitment to making Mercer County’s JARC services easier to understand, easier to use, and easier to trust for daily transportation needs.
The Route 130 Connection serves as a vital transportation link between residential areas, employment centers, educational institutions, and regional transit hubs. As part of ongoing efforts to modernize and strengthen this service, TripShot now provides riders with:
- Real-time bus tracking, so passengers can see exactly where their bus is
- Accurate arrival estimates, reducing uncertainty and wait times
- Mobile-friendly trip planning, accessible on phones, tablets, and computers
- A centralized digital platform, replacing reliance on static schedules alone
This upgrade significantly improves the day-to-day experience for riders who depend on the Route 130 Connection to reach work, school, job training, healthcare, and other essential destinations.
